I dearly miss the old days when a record was released and you knew when and how it was released and you didn't have to search all over the web to discover that, yes, it's new...but not really...well, kinda...oh, but that one not at all...but not that format....oh, and, wide release and exclusive and other buzzwords...and..........*sigh*

So, basically, Jazz vocalist (and she's brilliant, really she is) Lyn Stanley is releasing an epic Christmas album this year and it's fair to say that audiophiles are her target demographic.  "Novel Noel - A Jingle Cool Jazz Celebration" will feature in two (possibly 3, maybe, but last year....ugh) formats--one a recent trend and one kinda gone by the boards.  The recent trend is a 2-LP vinyl set at 45 RPM on 180gm collector's vinyl.  This version is limited to just 1000 numbered and signed copies and will (allegedly) be released in August...for the low low price of $135!
